Visit many significant places throughout our 10 days Morocco Jewish heritage tour from Casablanca, starting from the largest city in the country, then Rabat the capital of Morocco, Meknes and the roman ruins of Volubilis as well as Fez which is the cultural center of Morocco, then we travel south to enjoy an unforgettable desert experience. driving west and enjoying scenic views of the valleys and the Atlas Mountains, Exploring the mud-brick-walled Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, before heading to Marrakech.
Our 10 days trip includes fez and Marrakech sightseeing tour, sunset camel ride and overnight sleep beneath the stars at a luxury Desert camp located in the Erg Chebbi dunes.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA
Arrival in Morocco at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport. Casablanca’s 4,500 Jews live proudly – worshipping in over 30 synagogues, eating in kosher restaurants, enjoying recreation at Jewish Community Centers, and attending Jewish schools. Moreover, this city boasts a Jewish Museum, created by the Jewish community as well as the Foundation of Jewish-Moroccan Cultural Heritage, that is (for many reasons) unique in the Arab world. Begin your tour of Casablanca with a visit to Temple Beth-El, the main Jewish Synagogue, and the centerpiece of a once gigantic Jewish community. Its stained glass windows are uniquely beautiful, and draw tourists from around the world. Option to visit Temple Em Habanim as well as Neve Chalom if time allows.
DAY 2 : CASABLANCA – RABAT
This morning, visit the striking and unusual Museum of Moroccan Judaism, built with the support of both Moroccan Jews and non-Jews in 1997. Then we will take you to see Casablanca’s uniquely picturesque Jewish Mellah (Quarter). While Jews no longer live within the quarter, kosher butchers are still found in the old market. The adjacent Jewish cemetery is impressive, with well-kept markers in French, Hebrew, and Spanish. (Casablancans celebrate an annual prayer festival at the tomb of the Jewish “saint,” Eliahu.) Next, Continue on to Rabat. See Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, decorated with stained glass, white marble, and a uniquely gorgeous dome. Visit The Kasbah of Oudaya, a historic UNISCO-listed fortified citadel in Rabat overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Overnight in a charming Riad.
DAY 3 : RABAT - MEKNES -VOLUBILIS - FEZ
Departure to Meknes where the Jewish presence in the imperial city is evidenced by Hebraic epitaph dating from the Christian era as well as Greek inscriptions that still appear in local synagogues, and a place of pilgrimage where the tomb of Rabbi David Benimdan, “the patron of Meknes” is located. The crowded old Mellah, known by historic Jewish streets names is not to be missed. There is also the new Mellah (Jewish ghetto) which harbors eleven synagogues, eight of which are still in use. Visit Bab El Monsour, the Hedim Square and the mosque of Moulay Ismael. Continue to Fes via Volubilis, a very preserved Roman city. overnight in a Charming Riad.
DAY 4 : FES GUIDED TOUR
This whole day will be devoted to a visit to Fes, the religious capital of Morocco. Fes was equally renowned during the Middle Ages for its Talmudic studies and eminent Rabbis (including the great Maimonides). Its numerous synagogues testify to the importance as well as comfort of the Jewish community here. Visit the old Mellah (Jewish Quarter), as well as the caringly kept Jewish cemetery with its engraved tombs. Continue to Ibn Danan (a recently renovated synagogue), Attarine and Bou Inania Medersas, and the scenic Nejjarine Fountain. You will also see Fes’s impressive Karaouine and Andalous Mosques. In the afternoon, continue to Fes el Jdid, and view the exterior of the Royal Palace and the adjacent new Mellah.
DAY 5 : FEZ – IFRANE – MIDELT– ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT
In the morning, After having breakfast we will leave Fez and drive towards Ifrane "called small Switzerland of Morocco". The area is well known for its abundant wildlife like wild boars and Barbary Apes, Then we will continue our journey to Merzouga Sahara Desert through the fascinating views of Midle Atlas Mountains, High Atlas Mountains and Ziz Canyons, then driving throughout Ziz valley which is known for dates and palm trees, Passing by Erfoud which is known as the capital of fossils and dates. As soon as we arrive to Merzouga we will change the car for camels to go on an impressive desert camel ride experience and a beautiful sunset over the sand dunes and spend a magical night in your Desert Camp.
DAY 7 : MERZOUGA DESRT TOUR
Get up early for a magical surise and have a delisious breakfast, After that you will trek back to meet your driver and get ready for a tour arround the Erg-Chebbi by our 4X4 car visitng Khamlia, a village which is inhabited by dark skin people originally from Sudan and other sub-saharan countries to enjoy their traditional Gnawa music, after that we continue our journey by visiting the mines of Mifis before we stop to drink tea under a berber tent with a nomadic family, then we finish our journey by visiting Merzouga oasis and going back to have lunch in our hotel, enjoying the rest of the day, overnight in a desert hotel.
DAY 7 : MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
Wake up early for a mesmerizing sunrise, After breakfast as usual, we will start our journey towards Ouarzazate passing through Tinghir and drive along Todra Valley before we arrive in Todra Gorges. A short stop will be made to walk beneath its canyons. After so, we persist our way via Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate, A small city famous for its Hollywood cinema studios and Taourirt Kasbah, Overnight in a fantastic Hotel in Ouarzazate.
DAY 8 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU - HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, We will leave Ouarzazate and drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, A well preserved village which has been registered to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. As it was vital stop on the former Trans-Saharan trade route where caravans carried salt, gold and spices between Marrakech and the Sahara. Also famous as Hollywood's favorite filming spot where so many movies were filmed. After visiting this impressive fortified village, we will traverse the High Atlas Mountains passing through Tizi N'Tichka pass, which is the highest point of the road "2260m". stops for pictures are worthy to make before arriving to Marrakech, Overnight in a Riad in the heart of the Medina.
DAY 9 : MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will meet you and start sightseeing tour of Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”, it was founded in the XI century by Almoravid dynasty. We will insist on to see the most important sites with cultural and historical heritage. You will have great chance to visit Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa and the Souk of the city, and then you go to join the famous square of the medina where you will see the fascinating snake charmers, “funny seminars” where some professional or humorous people tell fabulous and nice jokes, riddles…On the afternoon, you will have free time to walk around and discover other places of the city by yourselves.
DAY 10 : MARRAKECH - AIRPORT
Depends on your flight time, we will transfer you from Marrakech to Casablanca Mohammed V International airport for your return flight with plenty of tales of Arabian and Berber days and nights, end our services.
