LEGZIRA BEACH DAY TRIP FROM AGADIR
Tafraout is a small Berber-speaking town of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas located 180 km south of Agadir in the heart of the Ammelne valley. The town is surrounded by rocks of various shapes and is known for the beauty of its colors: pink granite and the palm grove.
Morocco epic travel’s driver will pick you up from your hotel and start your day trip to the dramatic Anti-Atlas Mountains finding breathtaking views of the valleys below and small villages perched precariously on the mountainsides. You will start exploring Tafraoute, an oasis of palm trees surrounded by fantastic rock formations and the amazing scenery around town. One of the most wellknown, impressive and bizarre sights is that of the painted rocks: huge granite boulders painted by Belgian artist Jean Verame in the early 80s, and The Lion's Head, is located on top of a boulder on the Tafraoute Valley Mountain. visit a museum located in the nearby town is housed in a traditional Berber home displaying typical household items.
After lunch we head out on roads dotted with almond trees, green oasis and follow the twisting route out of the mountains. Our way is predominantly downhill now as we leave the Anti-Atlas behind and heading towards Tiznit, the well preserved pink-walled city which provides plenty of shopping, After a spending a short time in Tiznit we will continue our trip back to Agadir as the end of our day trip.
